Dan Bray-President of NC ACDIS
Dan Bray, RN, CDIP, CCDS currently serves as the Corporate Clinical Documentation Improvement Program Manager for Cape Fear Valley Health System and Harnett Health System. He has been instrumental in revitalizing and growing the Inpatient Clinical Documentation Improvement Program for both facilities. He has worked as a consulting Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) for a consulting agency as CDS Manager for several years at various large Level 1 teaching health systems across GA, IL, NJ, PA, DE and NC. He has over eight years of experience in the CDI field. He has over fourteen years of nursing experience after serving as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy, stationed with the Marines in Asia, and has since worked in a variety of clinical settings ranging from Level 1 Trauma Emergency Departments, Teaching/University Hospitals, Cardiac Cath Labs, GI Labs, Infectious Diseases, Hematology/Oncology, Med/Surg, Ortho, Telemetry Units, Psychiatry (VA Hospital) and as a Nurse Auditor for a large NC Health System. Dan has an innate ability to coordinate processes and extensive experience in leadership, process fine-tuning, program expansion, coding and interdepartmental partnership that improves a multitude of departments (HIM, Quality, CM, etc.), while creating an environment of unity, teamwork and overall growth, which has served him well throughout his CDI career where he has successfully implemented new CDI programs as well as revived failing CDI programs and been a valuable member of established CDI teams. Dan is currently pursuing his MSN in Healthcare Administration.
Bonnet Tyndall -Secretary of NC ACDIS
Bonnet Tyndall is the Lead Clinical Documentation Specialist RN for UNC Lenoir Healthcare, providing leadership and mentorship in the area of documentation improvement. Bonnet has 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with 4 of those years in CDI. As Lead CDI Specialist she performs chart reviews focusing on areas of documentation improvement for physicians and other clinical staff to capture the most accurate severity of illness/ risk of mortality for the patient. Bonnet presents education regarding documentation improvement to physicians in group settings as well as on an individual basis. Bonnet collects data to monitor the progress of the CDI program and data to indicate potential educational topics based on Query volume. Bonnet also published a Mortality Review article in the CDI Journal in March/April 2017 edition. She has completed the UNC Health Care Leadership Academy training. She obtained her CCDS in 2015.
Gina DiCrocco-Treasurer of NC ACDIS
Gina Fones-DiCrocco, MEd, CPC, CRCR is the Director of Coding Quality Review and Education at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Gina is a seasoned revenue cycle professional with over 25 years of combined clinical and revenue cycle experience ranging from community hospitals to Academic Medical Centers. She has extensive experience providing direct education to middle revenue cycle teams and proven success in change management and process improvement throughout the revenue cycle.

Pamela Hughes- President-Elect of NC ACDIS
Pamela Hughes, RN, BSN, CCDS, CCS is a 3M M*Modal CDI & HCC Collaborate Adoption Specialist. She has been a nurse for 26 years with vast experience in physical rehabilitation, internal medicine, general surgery, oncology, orthopedics, emergency medicine, and neurology. In 2010, Pam transitioned to Clinical Documentation Improvement where she has served in various roles as a CDI Specialist, CDI Team Lead, and CDI Manager/Coordinator over the past 9 years. She also has experience with DRG clinical validation auditing, denials, and CDI consulting. In 2015, Pam passed her Certified Coding Specialist exam and received her certification. She has worked with various healthcare organizations in Florida and relocated to North Carolina in 2017. She is serving NC ACDIS as President-Elect for 2019-2020. She also serves on the ACDIS Leadership Council for 2019-2020. She has extensive experience in leadership, process refinement, coding, program development, and interdepartmental collaboration.
Debbie Martin- Secretary-Elect of NC ACDIS
Martin, MSN,RN has been a nurse for more than 30 years in various settings of critical care, occupational health, clinical information analytics, and CDI, with experience in various levels of healthcare management. In her current role, she oversees 16 CDI specialists; she is also a member of the facility’s Patient Safety Indicator review committee. Also a member of the ACDIS Leadership Council.
Kirti Loper- Treasurer-Elect of NC ACDIS
Kirti Loper has a Master’s in Business Administration with a Concentration in Health Care Management from East Carolina University. She holds a certification in healthcare data analytics (CHDA) from AHIMA. Kirti has been with Duke University Health System for eight years. She is a Strategic Services Associate with Clinical Documentation Improvement and loves her role in this department because it gives her the opportunity to stay connected to the clinical side while focusing on system improvement through data analytics. Outside of Duke, Kirti enjoys spending time with her beautiful family, running, reading and traveling. She is a mom to three amazing and curious kiddos and one very loved and sweet Wheaten Terrier.
